The works to repair Ion Creangă St of Chisinau are to start. This year the local authorities plan to rehabilitate the electrical networks, to replace the electricity poles and to repair and lay out the sidewalks and curbs, IPN reports.
In the October 22 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, the head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Vitalie Butucel said the repair works will cover a section of almost 2 km. The works on the roadway will start next spring and will expectedly end next summer.
The area will not be closed to traffic. The works will be executed mainly at night and on the weekend.
Ion Creangă St is repaired with municipal funds. The costs were assessed at 40 million lei. No extensive repair works have been performed there for over 30 years.
