A water pipeline with the length of 52 km is to ensure connection between Chisinau, Strășeni and Călărași. This will be a source of water for the residents of the towns of Strășeni and Călărași and will be later extended gradually to the villages of the two districts. The pipeline will be connected to the D-1000 mm water main that is managed and used by SA “Apă-Canal Chișinău”, IPN reports.
The building of the water pipelines implies investments and relevant consultancy services. The consultancy contract concerning complementary measures, phase 1, was signed by the Center Regional Development Agency and the German company CES on November 17, 2021. The value of the contract is €1 500 000. When the works are finished, the pipeline will be transferred under the management of “Apă-Canal Chișinău”.
The company said the Ialoveni district administration also joined this project and submitted to the Center Regional Development Agency the conceptual note of argumentation for the implementation of the project to build a water pipeline from the connection point in Ialoveni town to the villages of Sociteni, Dănceni, Suruceni, Nimoreni, Malcoci, Bardar, Ruseștii Noi, Văsieni, Ulmul, Pojăreni, Costești.
“The given project is important for SA “Apă-Canal Chișinău” and forms part of the company’s policy to regionalize the services. This project helps to achieve the objectives of the water supply and sewerage strategy and to support the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals concerning drinking water and sanitation,” the supplier said in a press release.
