The General Social Assistance and Health Division of Chisinau will become the General Medical and Social Assistance Division, as the Chisinau Municipal Council decided on October 29, IPN reports.
The Division’s deputy head Boris Gîlca said the decision was taken in a move to optimize the administrative capacities and to strengthen the organizational capacities by changing the legal address.
The legal address needs to be changed because it is now different from the physical one and difficulties are encountered related to correspondence and communication. As a result, the activity of the whole health and social protection system is jeopardized. There will be approved the list of public health facilities and health centers belonging to local medical associations by geographical proximity.
The General Social Assistance and Health Division was founded after the municipal councilors decided to merge the Health Division and the Social Assistance Division.
