The inhabitants of the capital city are invited take part in the great spring cleanup that will be staged on March 31 and will cover the entire municipality of Chisinau.
Contacted by IPN, head of the cleanup section of the General Public Amenities Division Vasile Efros said the campaign will mainly cover the parks and green areas in the capital city. The volunteers will be provided with gloves and about 10,000 sacks for gathering waste. The gathered garbage will be transported to the sorting plant.
Workers of the Public Amenities Division will use Hako vehicles to clean alleys in parks. The cleanup campaign will involve about 500 employees of the Division and 30 vehicles for collecting waste from yards of apartment buildings, where the housing sector managers are to stage cleanup events themselves. The dwellers are invited to join in.
The companies are also asked to clean the area around their precincts.
The great spring cleanup of March 31 will start at 9am. The addresses of the places that will be cleaned can be seen on the website of the Chisinau City Hall.
