A track of 3 km will be laid out in the Park “Valea Morilor” in Chisinau in order to encourage people of all ages to move so as to prevent cardiovascular diseases. The track will be set up by the Rotary Club in concert with the Society of Cardiologists of Moldova within the program “Promenade of Hearts”, IPN reports.

Eight persons of ten in Moldova suffer from cardiovascular diseases and more than half of all the deaths are caused by these diseases. Most of the cardiovascular diseases are generated by factors that can be controlled, treated or modified, while the daily movement is essential for a healthy lifestyle.

The track will be laid out in the context of the World Heart Day that is marked on September 29, the Chisinau City Hall has said in a communiqué.
