A number of inhabitants of Chisinau remained without running water because of the debts they accumulated to SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC). Since the start of this year, about 100 bad payers were disconnected from the water supply system, IPN reports.
According to a press release of ACC, 38 business entities and 59 household users were disconnected from the water supply so far this year. Though the water supplier warned the consumers about the necessity of clearing their debts, these didn’t react and collected debts of over 700,000 lei.
The bad payers will remain without running water until they do not settle their debts. To benefit from the services of ACC, these will have to pay not only the debt, but also the costs incurred for disconnecting and reconnecting them to the water supply system.
