Residents of Chișinău can submit application documents for the compensations of payment for thermal energy during the 2019 - 2020 cold season. The beneficiaries of these facilities are families whose overall monthly average income in the previous calendar year did not exceed the amount of three thousand lei per person.
The deputy head of the General Department for Housing and Communal Development, Ghenadie Dubița, said that, based on the issued provision, the documents are to be submitted to the municipal enterprises managing the housing fund and to the managers of the housing fund - the associations of condominium co-owners, the associations of the privatized houses owners, etc., as well as to the pretorships. Citizens from the suburbia are to submit the relevant documents to local town halls.
According to the official, the same documents are required as last year. Tenants who have benefited from compensations in the 2018 - 2019 cold period only need to submit a confirmation request. The size of the compensation and the granting mechanism is yet to be approved by the Chișinău Municipal Council.
The compensation for disadvantaged people from Chișinău municipality for the payment of thermal energy and communal services, over the course of the 2019 - 2020 cold season, will be carried out after the approval of the Regulation regarding the mechanism for granting compensation by the CMC.
Last year, families living in blocks of flats received aid worth 40% of the total heating bill cost. Individuals who own two or more dwellings on the territory of Chișinău cannot benefit from financial support.
