Chisinau residents asked to report hazardous trees

Chisinau residents are asked to report hazardous trees, before they could fail and cause damage, by calling the City Hall's central call center at 22-22-67, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eliferie Haruta, the city's chief arborist, made this request in response to criticism against his division. According to Haruta, a TV channel that recorded the collapse of a poplar in a courtyard on Bariera Sculeni Street last Saturday, cheated when it reported that no one was to be found at the Green Spaces Agency to respond immediately to the tree failure. Haruta claimed that upon the notification by the City Hall's central call center, he personally accompanied a crew to the scene right away and dealt with the collapsed tree.
