Chisinau resident suspected of murdering woman with hammer

A 52-year-old man from Chisinau is suspected of killing a woman with a hammer after drinking alcohol together. General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo that the crime was committed in Chisinau’s Rascani district. The suspect came to see his friend, who is confined to bed, and drank alcoholic beverages together with his female partner. A conflict arouse between the man and the woman. The man took a hammer and hit her several times, including in the head. The victim died on the spot. The police arrested the suspect the next day after the murder was committed. The man faces 8 to 15 years in prison.
