The first lot of 14,400 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines produced in South Korea will reach Moldova during February 28 – March 3. A notification concerning confirmation of delivery was received by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection on February 26, IPN reports.
Earlier, it was agreed that the Republic of Moldova will receive 156,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines produced by Oxford/AstraZeneca through COVAX. The vaccines are offered free of charge. Later, Moldova is to purchase vaccines at preferential prices.
Two days ago, the Government of Romania approved an ordinance to deliver the first consignment of 20,000 doses of vaccine of the 200,000 promised to Moldova. The delivery date wasn’t confirmed.
