A number of parks and recreational areas in Chisinau will be registered at the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre. The move is aimed at reducing the number of unauthorized constructions that appear in the green areas. The initiative was put forward by Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, IPN reports.
The mayor requested the head of the Green Areas Association and the municipal police to examine the perimeter of “Valea Morilor” Park and to establish if there are unauthorized constructions and other types of abusive intervention. “We have a jewel in the center of Chisinau. Unfortunately, after we restored it, the people make attempts to appropriate the areas around the park and to erect buildings. This park, as the others, is not registered at the Cadastre Agency. But they represent patrimonial property,” Dorin Chirtoaca said in the ordinary meeting of City Hall officials.
He also said that no park of Chisinau has been registered at the Cadastre Agency during 20 years, while in “Valea Morilor” Park there are a series of facilities and constructions that should be registered. Their estimated value is 70 million lei. The mayor proposed that a subdivision should take the park under its control.
The acting head of the Architecture Division Radu Blaj said that the public territory in Ciocana district was delimited last year, while the relevant documents are now being registered at the Cadastre Agency. This year, there will be delimited the territories in Rascani, Centru and Buiucani districts and in “Valea Morilor” Park. All the public and recreational areas in these districts will be registered as municipal property.
