The Chisinau City Hall provided by 3,000 lei from the municipal population support fund to eight orphans to help them prepare for the first grade. Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca congratulated the future schoolchildren and wished them to study well, not to be late to classes, do their homework conscientiously and not to cheat, Info-Prim Neo reports. Anastasia Tiron has guardianship of her two granddaughters aged 7 and 8, who will go the first grade this year. “My daughter died four years ago and now I raise them. I am alone and did not have money to send them to school. Their first teacher is the same teacher that taught their mother in the first form,” the woman said. “Be courageous and never forget that the school years help you become persons of integrity and make new friends. Good luck and get only good marks,” the mayor told the children and offered them by a bell as present. They agreed to meet again when the children will graduate from the school and will tell how it was to study. The children also received by a packet with school supplies, food products and an invitation to a fast-food restaurant. The pupils of the musical studio “Vivat Childhood” came to wish the future schoolchildren “to become great people and accumulate knowledge for the future.” Last year, the Chisinau City Hall provided by 2,000 lei in financial assistance to 25 orphans from the municipality.
