In four years, the Chisinau City Hall invested over 67 million lei in the building, extension, repair, modernization and equipment of kindergartens situated in suburban settlements. According to mayor Ion Ceban, this is a joint effort of the municipality and the local authorities of the suburban localities, which results in the creation of hundreds of places for children in kindergartens and dozens of new employment opportunities in the education system, IPN reports.
Two kindergartens built from the foundation were opened in 2023. The kindergarten in Sângera town has a capacity of 320 places, while the kindergarten in Brăila village of Băcioi commune has 60 places. The municipality’s contribution to building the preschool in Sângera was 90%, while to that in Brăila – almost 60%. “The inauguration of the two kindergartens means not only additional places, but also modern, comfortable and friendly conditions for the growth and development of children,” stated Ion Ceban.
