The lakes in Chisinau will be cleaned of abundant vegetation with the help of hydro-monitoring equipment that was bought from Sweden. The equipment is already used to cut the reeds in the Park “Valea Trandafirilor”, IPN reports.
In Monday’s ordinary meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said the equipment purchased from Sweden is used on a trial basis. Over the last weekend, there were performed the first reed cutting works.
The equipment can cut and remove the vegetation and can dig and remove mud from lakes. It cost 2.2 million lei.
