About 50 directors and methodologists from 35 kindergartens located in Chisinau’s Rascani district came together Wednesday at a seminar to discuss how to educate a healthy young generation, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The aim of the preschool institution is to strengthen children’s health. We pay special attention not only to physical, but also to mental health,” said Tatiana Bostan, methodologist responsible for the activities of the preschool institutions in Rascani sector. For the children not to get tired during the day, the educators are advised to engage them in different leisure activities. According to Tatiana Bostan, the practice shows that the children in kindergartens also need recreational pauses in order to get rid of the psycho-emotional stress and to accumulate energy for the subsequent activities. The pauses must be combined with entertaining games, depending on the age of the children, like playing in the sand or massaging of different parts of the body. “The games that involve massage enable to remove stress and aggressive behavior, create good mood and stimulate attention and physical engagement in daily activities,” Tatiana Bostan said. There are 149 kindergartens in the municipality of Chisinau that are attended by about 30,000 children.
