Starting with August 24, those who choose to travel to Iași by train will pay less for their tickets. Third class tickets will cost 90 lei, 42 lei less than the current price. Second class passengers will pay 100 lei instead of 148. Those who will opt for the comfort class will pay 130 lei instead of 173, IPN reports.
According to a press release from the Moldovan Railways, the Chișinău – Socola (Iași) route is served by a modernized train, equipped with air conditioning and free wifi. Furthermore, Moldovan Railways inform passengers that this route will operate three days a week, instead of the current two-day schedule. It will travel to Iași and back on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The train will depart from Chișinău Railway Terminal at 06.16 and reach Socola station at 10.15. The return trip will set out at 17.42 and arrive at destination at 21.36. Travel time has been reduced by 20 minutes. Additionally, the train will work outside schedule on August 27, Moldova’s Independence Day.
