A number of elevators in apartment buildings situated in Ciocana and Botanica districts of Chisinau became the target for thieves, deputy mayor Vlad Cotet said in the May 20 ordinary meeting of City Hall officials, IPN reports
Vlad Cotet said that the cases of thefts from elevators have increased in number. It is yet strange that all the robbed elevators belong to the company SRL “Grand Lift”. The thieves steal only the brake coils and this shows that they are experts in the field.
The deputy head of the Chisinau Police Division Silviu Musuc said that criminal cases were already started over these thefts and an investigation is under way to identify all the offenders.
