The Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport has launched a contest of drawings and artistic modeling entitled “Martsishoare 2014”. It is intended for preschool education institutions and will last from March 1 to March 10, IPN reports.
An exhibition of drawings and martsishors (spring amulets) made by children with the assistance of parents and educators was mounted in the hall of the Division’s head office. “The exhibits surprise by their originality and authentic typical features. By such exhibitions there are promoted traditional elements, folklore and the national values,” it is said in a communiqué from the Division.
Parents, educators and managers of kindergartens had taken an active part in the manufacturing of martsishors. A jury was set up to choose the best works. The winners will receive diplomas and money awards from the Chisinau City Hall.
