Over 1,500 drawings and collages by preschool kids from Chisinau and the Romanian county of Dambovita are on display at the Chisinau Education Division. Returning the favor, the Dambovita County Library “Ion Heliade Radulescu” is holding a similar event.
Called “You Are Father Christmas”, the exhibition is part of a joint project with the Dambovita School Inspectorate.
The 158 preschool institutions in Chisinau contributed each with one to three drawings, which the children starting making them in November. The Chisinau children mailed three big boxfuls of art to Dambovita and received back a similar amount.
“Through this event we are trying to cultivate love for art and culture in our children. This is not just a cultural exchange, but also a physical one, which is very important”, the Division’s communicator Elena Vorotneac told IPN.
