Chisinau councilors donate money to children

The councilors of the Chisinau Municipal Council will donate their allowance for a meeting day to socially deprived children. The proposal was made in the December 28 meeting of the Council by the leader of the Liberal faction Corneliu Pantea and was accepted unanimously, Info-Prim Neo reports. “During the winter holidays, we are all better, more open and receptive. In the name of the Liberal Party, I thank you for the efforts you have made this year. I propose donating this 200 lei that we get for a meeting to children,” Corneliu Pantea said. The Council's chairman Ghenadie Dumanschi said that every councilor should make a more substantial contribution. The councilors agreed. The Chisinau Municipal Council consists of 51 councilors.
