Chisinau Council to examine municipal budget for 2008

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will discuss the draft municipal budget for 2008 at its meeting of November 22. At the same meeting, the councillors will examine the results of the Audit Office’s examination of the formation and use of the municipal budget and of the accuracy of the expenditure on capital investment for 2006, as well as the results of the inspection carried out at the Construction Division over the reconstruction of the memorial complex “Military Glory”. The meeting agenda includes a draft decision regarding the exemption of people working in the budgetary sphere from paying mortgage rates on the credits they take to buy or build dwellings. Also, the councilmen are to approve the household refuse accumulation norms in the municipality of Chisinau, to decide on the additional share issue of Apa-Canal Chisinau SA, to distribute the apartments from the residential block built on Ginta Latina Street to internally displaced people, etc. Seventeen items are included in the agenda overall. The meeting will start at 10:00.
