Chisinau Council comes together for meeting

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will hold a meeting today, November 29, to examine almost 50 issues included in the agenda. CMC secretary Valeriu Didencu has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the issues is the approval of the 2013 budget. The municipal budget for 2012 is to be adjusted. The councilors will also examine such subjects as the creation of the local taxes collection service and the approval of its regulations, the implementation of the road rehabilitation program in the municipality of Chisinau and the approval of the financing agreement between the European Investment Bank and the municipality in this respect. Liberal-Democratic candidate Pavel Caba is to be confirmed as local councilor instead of Sergiu Palihovici, who renounced the seat in favor of the post of head of the Chisinau Local Office of the State Chancellery. Other topics for discussion are the setting of meeting allowances for councilors, the approval of certain tariffs, and a series of land-related issues. The meeting starts at 10am.
