The Chisinau Municipal Council on October 8 decided to allocate 10 million lei for mitigating the consequences of the blast that rocked an apartment building located at 11/5 Moscovei Blvd in the evening of October 6, IPN reports.
Under a decision taken by the Council, the money will be distributed through the Reserve Fund of Chisinau municipality.
Four persons, one of whom a child, died in the blast. A fireman hurt during the rescue operation and a woman in whose apartment the explosion occurred, who suffered serious burns, remain hospitalized.
The Chisinau City Prosecutor’s Office took legal action and will start a criminal case over killing out of imprudence in the case of the explosion.
