Chisinau consumers to pay five-fold more for heat

The owners of a number of Chisinau apartments that were illegally connected to the centralized heating system will pay five times more for the illegally consumed heat. SA “Termocom” informed about new cases of illegal connection and consumption identified by it, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the heat supplier, the apartment owners paid only 15% of the heat used to heat the common areas in buildings, but they also heated their apartments illegally and the difference was to be paid by the other dwellers of the block. SA “Termocom” issued prescriptions to the managers of the apartment buildings where the irregularities were identified. It calls on the housing stock managers to check the internal heating systems in blocks and to make sure that the legislation on heat consumption is obeyed.
