Chisinau City Hall to provide assistance to snow-stricken villages of Romania

The Chisinau City Hall will offer support to the Romanian villages affected by heavy snowfall. The proposal was submitted by the head of the Foreign Relations, Regional Cooperation and European Integration Division Gabriela Ciumac, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We know very well what’s going on over the Prut. Many villages are blocked. The City Hall can help the affected people,” Gabriela Ciumac said in a meeting of the City Hall. She stressed that depending on the necessity, she will travel to the stricken villages to discuss with the local authorities and decide the form of the assistance – money or products. “It is a natural and logical proposal,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. “We every time provided assistances to the people affected by natural disasters within possibilities, either in Moldova or abroad, and this time we will intervene again.”
