The Chisinau City Hall calls as groundless the statements by the mayor of Durlesti town, as he accused the capital's authorities of not allocating enough money for this suburb from the 2008 municipal budget, Info-Prim Neo has learnt form a communique by the PR direction of the City Hall. “All the incomes and expenses related to Chisinau municipality's budget have been operated legally. In addition, Durleti town has benefited from a number of funds comparable with other localities from the municipality, and some of those received but several hundred thousand lei from the municipal budget,” reads the communique. The amount transferred to Durlesti this year was over 14 million lei, not 3 million as mayor Nicolae Crudu said at a news conference on Monday. The money transferred from the municipal budget was allocated “to level the budgets, for speical purposes, capital investments, to build roads, though the respective directions of the City Hall.” The Durlesti mayor voiced his anger at the way of distributing the money from the municipal budget, maintaining that out of those 1.3 billion lei – the total budget of Chisinau in 2008 – Durlesti has got but 3 million, so the locality does not get back at least 2 % from the contribution Durlesti brings to the municipal budget.
