Chisinau City Hall offers financial support to orphan first-graders

The Chisinau City Hall offers 3,000 for each of the 21 orphan children who start elementary school this year. Additionally, the kids will experience a plane ride, reports Info-Prim Neo. Svetlana Chifa, head of the Municipal Department for the protection of children’s rights, stated on Monday, August 13, at the City Hall meeting, that 17 out of the 21 children are under family-type placement, guardianship and professional parental assistance services, and the other 4 are from residential institutions. As in the previous years, the children have been invited to the City Hall. Their meeting with the local authorities will take place on Wednesday, at 10am. Afterwards, the children will go on a trip to the Chisinau International Airport, where they will go on a plane ride over Chisinau. The plane trip is supported by the airports’ administration. Meanwhile, the authorities reminded that almost 8,000 kids from low-income families from Chisinau will receive the one-time financial aid of 600 lei, at the beginning of the school year. Their parents can receive the money at any branch of Banca de Economii, upon presenting their ID.
