Chisinau City Hall loses plot of 215 ha

The Chisinau City Hall remained without a plot of 215 hectares after it was transformed from municipal property into state property. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca described the act as raider attack, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the December 3 meeting of City hall officials, the head of the Legal Assistance Division Diana Gurschi said the plot was under the administration of the green areas management association “Spatii Verzi”, but in April it was transferred to the state and is now managed by an enterprise controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture, which leased it out to an economic entity. According to Diana Gurschi, this fact became known after the mayor’s office of Bubuieci commune asked the Chisinau administration to allow it to extend its territory. The municipal authorities submitted a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office over this case.
