Chisinau City Hall is looking for employees

Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca invites all interested in becoming civil servants to submit their CVs for an eventual employment. The Mayor said that he will soon publish a list of vacancies, though without mentioning how many. Dorin Chirtoaca insists on ensuring transparency in the activities of the civil servants, so that every person could have access to the necessary information. The Mayor hopes to convince the City Hall’s employees to comply with the new rules, without threatening anybody with sacking. “Such a model doesn’t motivate the employees, but only creates a communication barrier”, said the mayor. According to official statistics, in the first six months of this year, public administration employees had one of the largest boosts in wages in national economy – over 32%. The civil servants received each an average sum of 2,341 lei.
