Chisinau City Hall employees engaged in cleanup

Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, alongside municipal councilors and employees of the municipal services and subdivisions, Saturday took part in a large-scale cleanup event in the Park “La Izvor” that is located in Sculeni quarter of Buiucani district, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the City Hall. Dorin Chirtoaca said this is the first civil drive of the spring cleanup campaign aimed at making the community more responsible. The local public authorities will weekly stage such events, until Easter. The cleanup campaign will end on March 31 with a cleaning day called “Come on, Chisinau”. The Chisinau City Hall hopes a record number of people will go out to clean the yards of the buildings where they live. The mayor said the economic entities must also keep the buildings they own or rent and the areas around them clean. The non-fulfillment of these obligations will be penalized. Cleanup drives were mounted Saturday in the other districts of Chisinau as well. The municipal services and district heads’ offices started to clean the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” and the green areas near Drumul Viilor St and the boulevards Mircea cel Batran and Moscovei.
