Chisinau carriers demand raising minibus fares

Three Chisinau minibus route administrators made approaches to the Public Transport and Communications Division, asking increasing the minibus fares. The Division’s head Adrian Boldurescu has told Info-Prim Neo that a draft decision to this effect may be submitted to the Chisinau Council if similar requests come from all the 19 administrators registered. The carriers also presented financial reports with the formulas for calculating fares. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca told the press that he will return to this subject the coming days. The drivers demand raising the minibus fare from 3 to 5 lei. Otherwise, they will stage protests.
