Chisinau reiterated the call to the Transnistrian administration, asking that they do not erect impediments to the free movement and do not cast a shadow on the atmosphere of the Easter holidays by their politicized actions, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Reintegration Office, Tiraspol’s decision to limit the access of Moldovan officials to Transnistria during the Easter holidays runs counter to the agreements reached earlier by ex-Prime Minister Vlad Filat and the Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk. With a view to ensuring the free movement of all the categories of people from both banks of the Nistru, the Reintegration Office sent a letter to the political representative of Tiraspol, asking reviewing the given decision.

The Transnistrian administration recently requested Chisinau to provide the list of officials who intend to go to Transnistrian in the period of the Easter holidays. It argued that it needs the list in order to ensure the smooth crossing by the officials of the checkpoints and an appropriate security level.
