A 34-year-old man from Chisinau risks four years in prison for allegedly stealing a number of bicycles from staircases of apartment blocks in Ciocana district and selling them. The General Police Inspectorate said the man was detained and placed under arrest for 30 days, IPN reports.
The police established the man's complicity in committing four thefts. The suspect entered the staircases of apartment buildings at night. The damage caused to the owners amounts to 28,600 lei. The individual said the stolen bicycles had already been sold.
The police are taking measures to determine the man's complicity in other similar cases committed in Chisinau.
