Historical and architectural landmarks in the capital will be enhanced with lighting systems as part of a project by the municipal Public Amenities Directorate called “Chisinau at Night, a City of Lights”.
Irina Boțu, spokesperson for the Directorate, told IPN that the project aims to bring out the beauty of the landmarks in every detail. A secondary goal is to enhance security and urban comfort. “We are gradually trying to cover as many architectural buildings as possible”, said the spokesperson.
To date, such lighting systems have been installed at the Catargi Urban Mansion, the building of the General Directorate of Economy, the Urban Mansion of Princess Ghica Comănești, the Koțubinski Lycem, the Trolleybus Museum and the building of the General Directorate of Urban Mobility.
