The Moldovan and Russian authorities are working on a roadmap for fully restoring the bilateral commercial relations that is to be finalized by the end of July. The document will contain all the requirements of the official Moscow for allowing the Moldovan products to enter the Russian market, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview for the news portal NewsMaker, quoted by IPN.

The politician noted there is Russia’s version of this roadmap and there are proposals submitted by Moldova, but these do not fully coincide. The Moldovan authorities request to eliminate the so-called barriers, using sometimes the term of ‘embargo’, with which the politician does not agree because this means interruption in the relations with all the producers, but many Moldovan producers have access to the Russian market.

Dmitry Rogozin insists that the Moldovan state should fulfill the obligations assumed within the CIS and particular adjustments are needed in the relations between Moldova and the EU for the purpose. If nothing changes, the status quo in the relations with Russia will be kept. Chisinau should have a dialogue with Brussels on a series of positions that Russia consider fundamental. These will be included in the roadmap that is being worked out.

The bilateral working group will meet in the third week of July. The content of the document will not be revealed until then so as not to hinder the experts from communicating between them. Moldova didn’t abandon the agreements within the CIS and is to now reconfirm them and to also review some of the accords with the EU so as to fully benefit from the two markets, stated the politician.
