Between December 20 and January 15, during the winter holidays, traffic at the Chisinau International Airport will reach a high level and an intense flow of passengers is expected. Therefore, in order to avoid inconvenience and delays, the airport authorities issued a series of recommendations for travelers, IPN reports.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled take-off time. "This time frame is necessary to go through all formalities, including check-in, security control and border control," warn the authorities.
Particular attention must be paid to the preparation for the security check. "Liquids and cosmetic products must be stored in containers of maximum 100 ml and placed in a transparent, resealable bag, of maximum one liter. Laptops and tablets must be taken out of hand luggage before the check," noted the airport administration.
To avoid unpleasant situations, passengers are advised not to carry prohibited objects, such as knives, scissors or lighters.
The convenience of clothing and footwear can make it easier to pass through the control filters. "A minimum of comfort in choosing the outfit can reduce time and stress", said the airport representatives.
As for the border rules, passengers must make sure that they have all the documents at hand. "The passport, identity card and plane ticket are presented quickly, upon request, and the instructions of the border staff must be strictly followed," reads the list of recommendations.
