Chisinau International Airport could manage by itself the spaces it intended to lease to economic agents. According to the director of the Public Property Agency, Roman Cojuhari, this option is being analyzed, in the context that the revenues that this activity would bring would be used for the development of the Chisinau Airport, as well as the one in Marculești, IPN reports.
The APP chief said that following an analysis of the incomes of the companies operating in these spaces and discussions with the Investment Agency, he found that "the airport team is doing well with the actual management of the airport", the team contributing to the generation of a profit of over 360 million lei.
Roman Cojuhari is convinced that he will create a team that will be able to manage these spaces, so that more revenues will be generated in the airport's budget, including the state budget.
APP chief added that the premises are to be restructured and expanded and the results will be monitored.
The tender for renting the premises at the Airport was launched in 2024 and postponed several times.
