The municipal agencies have sufficient amounts of deicing materials, including salt and sand-salt mixtures, to get through the winter, the Chisinau Mayor’s Office said in a press release.
The agencies in charge of roads and public amenities are prepared to intervene during the cold season to remove snow and ice from the streets and from courtyards of apartment blocks.
The Exdrupo agency operates a fleet of 39 trucks and 19 multifunctional snow removal machines, as well as adequate amounts of deicing materials. The Department for Housing and Public Amenities is ready to assist with interventions in courtyards, on sidewalks, alleys, and bus stops. It operates a fleet of 80 vehicles, including tractors, multifunctional outdoor cleaning machines and mini loaders.
