Chisinau administration vows to revamp suburban roads by Aug 31

After some of Chisinau's roads have been patched up, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca at a City Hall meeting on Monday urged municipal officials to take care of the suburban roads too, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vitalie Butucel, deputy head of the municipal transport department, stated that the works on the suburban roads would start in August. Dorin Chirtoaca mandated Vitalie Lavric, chief of the public administration division, to inspect all the suburban communities and prepare a report on the matter. By August 31, all the roads in the suburbs are due to be revamped, according to a pre-established plan. At the same meeting, mayor Ion Beglet of suburban Ghidighici called attention of the city's administration to the necessity of repairing the main road that crosses the community. “This summer's heavy rains have impacted seriously on the road” said he, adding: “for three years have I been waiting for this to happen...”
