Chisinau administration helps people of culture

The Chisinau City Hall is launching a program to support the people of art and culture who live in modest conditions. Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca instructed officials of the Culture Division to compile the list of persons who need assistance, Info-Prim Neo reports. The City Hall will provide different types of support, including support to publish books and financial assistance. Dorin Chirtoaca called on the municipal companies to take by a person of culture under their tutelage and assist them in printing some of their works. He also requested the Trade, Public Food and Services Division to urge the economic entities to get involved in this campaign. “There are many people of culture who need assistance. They represented us and we should help them somehow,” Dorin Chirtoaca said. Last year, the Chisinau City Hall performed a number of similar activities. Money was allocated from the Chisinau's reserve fund for repairing the roof of the house of composer Eugen Doga. The City Hall also helped to print Spiridon Vangheli's book “Imparatia lui Ciubotel” (“Ciubotel's World”).
