Mayor of Chisinau DorinChirtoaca asked the acting head of Centru district PetruBudurin to voluntarily tender his resignation. Otherwise, he will be dismissed, Info-PrimNeo reports.
The bone of contention was several stalls located near the Central Market of Chisinau, at the intersection of the streets MitropolitVarlaam and Tighina. In the March 18 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, the mayor wanted to know who authorized the placement of those stalls.
PetruBudurin said that before the paschal holidays they usually authorize the location of stands where the people can buy what they need. “There is time until Easter, but the previous years we did the same,” he stated.
Petru Budurin’s answer angered the mayor. “You are playing with fire. What kind of preparations for Easter in March and what is the relation to the clothes sold there?” he asked. Dorin Chirtoaca accused Budurin of telling lies and told him to quit voluntarily, if he doesn’t want to be discharged.
