In the last meeting of the Creditors Committee that centered on the halting of the insolvency procedure at SA Termocom, Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca expressed his bewilderment at the fact that creditors did not take the money owed to them by Termocom, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the mayor, in the meeting the administrator of SA Termocom Laura Turcan presented a report, saying the heat supplier fulfilled its obligations, gathering 63 million lei. The money is to be distributed to the creditors. “But the creditors put forward a number of objections, saying they are unable to take the decision to accept the given money. They asked for ten days to study the information and take a relevant decision. It is an absurd situation. Termocom fulfilled its duties, while the creditors said they are not ready to take the money,” said Dorin Chirtoaca. He stated the creditors invoked that there were presented too many figures and they need time to take a decision as regards the money. “This shows that they have certain interests. They represent the state, but do not agree with the Government’s viewpoint that this insolvency procedure should be stopped. I understood that they want a larger sum than the collected one,” said the mayor. The meeting of the Creditors Committee was held at the thermoelectric plant CET 2 and lasted for two hours and a half. The press did not have access to it. The Committee consists of representatives of CET 1, CET 2, Moldova Gaz and other companies.
