Chirtoaca: Moldova's European integration could be compromised

Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca stated at a press conference on Thursday, that the Europeans are aware of what is going on in Moldova, and that certain conflictual situations might compromise our country's potential integration into the European Union. The Mayor, who has recently returned from the European Union – Republic of Moldova Forum in Berlin, said that the EU representatives who attended the event made it clear that the situation in Moldova is under careful scrutiny, and if the situation becomes tense in the next 2 years, the country's integration into the EU could be compromised. Dorin Chirtoaca added that the privatizations and raider attacks that took place lately were organized by forces that want to obstruct Moldova's European integration aspirations. The EU-Moldova Forum took place in Berlin on October 22 and 23.
