The chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on national security, defense and public order, Chiril Moţpan, presented a list of supporters of the Dignity and Truth Platform, activists and journalists, whose communications were allegedly intercepted. According to him, some of the leaders of the protests organized by the DA Platform were also shadowed with a view to gathering compromising information, IPN reports.

"Here is one of the dispositions of Mr. Cavcaliuc (Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, former deputy head of the General Police Inspectorate / IGP, e.n.): after a person is identified, the accumulation of compromising information follows, then his intimidation for subsequent collaboration or his holding accountable, all under the guidance of Mr. Cavcaliuc. He was the person keen on disparaging the Dignity and Truth Platform, thus building his image, says my source, in front of the country's leadership of the time, being Plahotniuc’s humble servant," noted Chiril Moţpan.

The list presented by Chiril Moţpan includes teachers who supported the DA Platform, but also experts, journalists and activists, including Petru Macovei, Arcadie Barbăroșie, Lilia Carasciuc, Stefan Gligor, Dumitru Alaiba, Sergiu Tofilat, Vladislav Gribincea, Natalia Morari, Angela Gonța, Mariana Rață, Ion Terguță, Valentina Ursu etc. The chairman of the Commission said that he saw this list only yesterday, and would submit it shortly to the Prosecutor's Office.

At the same conference, the MP has stated he acquired information which proves that the former leader of the Democratic Party, Vlad Plahotniuc, has a second identity in the Republic of Moldova. According to the deputy, this information also reached the Prosecutor's Office, and there is a criminal case on this fact. The parliamentarian said he could not give more details, as the document addressed to the Commission mentioned the need to ensure information confidentiality. Chiril Moţpan mentioned that he requested the interim director of the Agency for Public Services to declassify the information submitted to the Commission, as in his opinion, that was a document of major public interest.
