Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev agreed to reestablish the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation that represents a platform for discussions for other areas too. The two Premiers had a meeting in the morning of May 29, on the sidelines of the Summit of CIS Heads of Government that is held in Burabai, Kazakhstan, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
In the meeting, the Moldovan Premier reiterated that the choice of the European integration course by Moldova was not made against Russia. He thanked his counterpart for the first steps taken to reopen the Russian market for Moldovan agricultural products.
Dmitry Medvedev noted he is for improving the commercial-economic relations that are beneficial to the economies of the two states. “The dialogue between our countries must continue in a constructive manner,” he stated.
Chiril Gaburici is in Kazakhstan on a two-day visit.
