Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, who waited in vain for the members of the initiative group of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” in the Government Building on May 4, said he remains open for dialogue. In the morning, the Premier invited members of the Platform to come to the Government Building for discussions, but these insisted that the meeting should take place elsewhere, IPN reports.

Chiril Gaburici said he is not hiding and he is not to blame for the stealing of money. In fact, he supports the demands formulated by the protesters and is ready to discuss them, including the dismissals, as the Platform members demand. If plausible arguments are provided, he is ready to resign too.

Chiril Gaburici also said that if the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” refuses to come to the Government Building, he will suggest holding a meeting at the Embassy of Romania or the Office of the EU Delegation to Moldova.

The Premier noted he came to the meeting with his entire team of advisers so as to consider all the possible solutions. He welcomed the presence of so many people at the protest staged by the Platform.

More than 40,000 people took part in the May 3 protest against the corrupt government, large-scale thefts and the transformation of the stolen money into state debt and against the politically controlled media, mounted in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau.
