The Premier designate Chiril Gaburici Monday had discussions with the Liberal MPs in a move to obtain their support for investing the new government. “We discussed how we see the future and how we can build it together. I did my best to convince them and they are to now take a decision,” the candidate for premiership told the reporters, quoted by IPN.
Asked by the journalists if acting Minister of Education Maia Sandu will continue to serve in the Cabinet, Chiril Gaburici said the issue is yet to be discussed, but the probability that she will keep her post is high.
Chiril Gaburici was nominated for the post of Prime Minister by a presidential decree on February 14. The sitting where the Premier designate will ask for the Parliament’s vote of confidence for the future Cabinet could take place on February 19.
