China is willing to open its market more to Moldovan products, in particular wines, and will encourage both state and private Chinese companies to develop joint projects with Moldova, stated Li Keqiang, Vice-Premier of the PRC State Council, during a meeting with Moldovan Deputy Premier Iurie Leanca, who is visiting China, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Chinese official, the 7-fold rise in imports of Moldovan wines to China in 2010 was a sign of an increasing popularity of the Moldovan beverages among the Chinese consumers.
Iurie Leanca stated for his part that the Moldovan Government was willing to stimulate and facilitate inter-human contacts as well as cultural and educational exchanges among the two countries.
The two deputy premiers agreed on the need to develop a joint action plan to mark 20 years since the establishment of the Moldo-Chinese diplomatic relationship. This may include an exchange of high-level visits in 2012 and a number of cultural events which would further strengthen the bilateral relationship.
