When the new school year starts, a special trolleybus and bus regime will be introduced in Chisinau on a trial basis. Between 6:50am and 9am, only children, with accompanying adults if need be, will be transported by each fourth trolleybus running on routes No. 8, 10, 22, 24 and 25 when going to school or kindergarten, IPN reports.
In the case of buses, changes will be made for routes No. 5, 19, 23 and 26.
The measures are needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the municipality of Chisinau and to protect the children on public transport, the Chisinau City Hall has said.
