Children will take part in a number of activities on Chisinau’s Day

The students of the municipality of Chisinau will be engaged in a number of activities dedicated to the City’s Day. The activities already started and will continue until October 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. In Monday’s meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, the head of the Division of Education, Youth and Sport, said five groups of children dancers from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Poland are expected to arrive in the capital city on October 11. The awarding of City Hall’s Merit Scholarships became already a traditional event. The festivity will take place at the Organ Hall on October 13. The same day, the Chisinau-based Theoretical High School “Mihai Viteazu” will host the municipal contest “My City, My Pride”, while the Creation Center “Floare-soarelui” − the municipal contest of vocal-instrumental bands “Sing, the Guitars!”. The program for October 14 includes a contest of flower arrangements, the International Children’s Folk Dances Festival, and the asphalt drawing contest “Chisinau in Children’s Eyes”. The international dance sport contest “Chisinau Open 2011” will take place at the Palace of the Republic during October 14-16. There will be also held a series of sports competitions.
